Brand NEW Freddie Couples Drill on how to create a powerful backswing!

Hey there fellow golfers, I wanted to share a great backswing drill that can help you optimize your swing width, arm lift, and body rotation for a perfect backswing. I've heard some instruction talk about connecting your arms and body, but I don't think that's quite the right approach. Your arms are already connected to your upper torso at the shoulder joint, so shortening them doesn't make sense. It's all about coordination, not reduction, to improve your ball striking. In fact, longer arms can actually be an advantage for longer drives and irons. This drill will give you a better feel for your arm lift, swing, and body turn to the top of your backswing, so it's definitely worth practicing. You can try it out in your backyard or the next time you're on the range. And if you're looking for more ways to improve your golf swing, be sure to check out Humo.Golf. We offer a FREE 21-day membership that can help you take your skills to the next level. Let's get to work and start improving our golf swings! Best, Tony

The Last Lesson #4 - With a tall golfer. How we simplified Taylor's thinking to make the swing flow!

Hey there, fellow golfers! I'm excited to share the final video in our series on teaching a tall golfer, 6'8". As we prepare for the last lesson before playing, our goal is to simplify the golfer's thinking and help them execute and feel the golf swing. Overthinking can lead to poor performance, so we're going to focus on one simple drill that will help you find the feel you need to succeed on the course. The one-handed drill is an excellent way to simplify your thoughts and pre-set your mental model for great ball striking. By expanding on the benefits of this drill and providing more detail on how it can improve your swing, you'll be more likely to give it a try for yourself. So let's get to work and try out this one-handed drill to help you prepare for your next shot!

Day 3 - Training Day. Working to learn and control a new golf swing.

Hello Golfers, Here is Day 3 of Taylor's swing improvement series. Taking in new information at this point could be detrimental to a golfer's performance. Now is the time to blend previously learned information into how the golfer must control their movement to create the golf swing. From Day 1's lesson on creating width and posting up to Day 2's session on achieving arm acceleration from the top of the swing through impact can be challenging for all golfers, but especially for golfers with longer arms. To aid golfers in this endeavor, we recommend a modified staggered stance to develop a sense of hand speed without over-rotating the hips and upper torso. Another effective method is to focus on creating compression past the ball, which can help you feel the club accelerate or maintain speed. Providing feedback on performance at the right time can lead to dramatic positive changes. For instance, on the takeaway, learning the optimum takeaway can lead to hitting a draw. Knowing the feeling at the top of the backswing with the trail hand can ensure proper width. Having a sense of how to create smooth power in transition can lead to good contact, and finally, proper pivot and rotation of the upper and lower body creates optimal compression. Check out Humo.Golf on how you can create effortless power and develop your smooth swing.

Day 2 lesson with 6'8" golfer. A challenge for tall golfers is to create compression through impact

Dear fellow golf enthusiasts, Today's lesson focuses on expanding upon the Day 1 lesson of creating width and posting up. For golfers with a tall stature, one of the primary challenges lies in achieving arm acceleration from the top of the swing through impact. This is a difficult task for all golfers, but it is especially crucial for achieving optimal club ball compression. To aid golfers in this endeavor, we recommend a modified staggered stance to develop a sense of hand speed without over-rotating the hips and upper torso. Another effective method is to focus on creating compression past the ball, which can help you feel the club accelerate or maintain speed. If you're interested in learning more or having your swing analyzed, we encourage you to visit Humo.Golf. Thanks for watching! Tony

Day 1: Full lesson - Tall and all golfers on creating Width & Posting Up for improved ball striking.

Hello, fellow golf enthusiasts, We have documented the first day of Taylor's tournament preparation. At a height of 6'8", Taylor faces unique challenges in controlling his limbs and the golf club. His longer arms require additional time to bring the club from the top of the backswing to impact. However, his larger reach allows for greater clubhead speed if utilized effectively. We'll share his instruction journey as he tries to improve his consistency.
